The best-known form of orthodontic treatment is braces for children and adults.
The health insurance companies usually only cover the costs for children and young people with pronounced tooth misalignments (KIG 3 - 5, so that in most cases these costs have to be borne for the most part by yourself. The dental KDBP tariff pays up to 100%, max. €3000.00 per insured event at the start of treatment up to the age of 18 and even in the event of an accident up to 100% for adults.

Good prophylaxis is important to prevent dental disease in the first place. For example, dentists recommend professional teeth cleaning once a year, which is usually not covered by the statutory health insurance.
Dentists charge between €65.00 and €120.00 for professional teeth cleaning.
Professional bleaching (teeth whitening) brings your teeth back to their original, individual and natural whiteness. The GKV does not cover these costs of around €350.00. Up to €300.00 is reimbursed every 2 calendar years so that you can keep your bright smile.
